Since the beginning of the 21st century, OGA has developed specific systems for unique applications in handling calcium carbonate, primarily for the PVC industry. The particle sizes, sometimes below 1 micron, pose challenges for pneumatic conveying through conventional systems. Moreover, in processes where this product is mixed, the particle size can easily lead to SEGREGATION, directly impacting the stability of extrusion processes. To overcome these typical challenges in calcium carbonate handling, OGA has developed very specific systems for PNEUMATIC CONVEYING of this product. Additionally, OGA has developed and implemented GRAVIMETRIC DIRECT ADDITION SYSTEMS onto extruders, ensuring a homogeneous mixture of compound and carbonate immediately before entering the extrusion process.
